General Terms and Conditions
1. Scope of Application
These contractual terms apply to the legal relationship between you and me, CasaUrbach, domiciled in Steckborn. Only persons aged 18 or over are entitled to make bookings with me.
2.1. Conclusion of Contract
By completing the booking, you offer me the conclusion of the rental contract and expressly acknowledge the present general terms and conditions, including for all persons registered by you. From this point on, the conditions according to clause 8.1 Cancellation Costs apply in case of withdrawal. Receipt of the order will be confirmed to you immediately by e-mail. The contract is concluded upon delivery of the booking confirmation/invoice. If the booking confirmation differs from the internet/shop window presentation, you acknowledge the conclusion of the contract by express declaration, with the deposit payment.
2.2. Provisional Reservation
A provisional reservation is also possible. This "reservation" does not constitute a booking and is non-binding for both parties. It does, however, include a deadline for the definitive decision.
3. Payment(s)
No later than 7 days after conclusion of the contract, a deposit of at least 50% of the rental price must be paid. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before check-in. Please follow the instructions on the invoice. For short-notice bookings (less than 30 days before check-in), the full invoice amount is due immediately. For payments to me, particularly payments from abroad, fees and charges are borne by the tenant. In case of late or incomplete payment, I may cancel the reservation at your expense and claim the corresponding fees according to clause 8 as compensation.
4. Services
The contractual service comprises the provision of the booked property in the condition as described in the shop window display or website. Special requests are only part of the contract if they have been confirmed by me in writing. The service begins with the handover of the keys.
5. Prices
The individual prices are shown on the booking confirmation/invoice. Prices include water, electricity, heating, WiFi, final cleaning, bed linen and towels. Consumption-related ancillary costs (e.g. additional waste bags, laundry) are additional services to be paid on site.
6. Changes to Services and Prices
The current services and prices in the shop window display or on the website are fundamentally binding.
7. Obligations of the Guest
The holiday apartment may only be occupied by the number of persons specified in the registration. Children count as full persons. Additional persons or animals may be charged separately on site. Arrival time from 4:00 PM until 8:30 PM at the latest. In case of earlier arrival, it is possible to deposit luggage.
8.1. Cancellation Costs
Should you withdraw from the booking contract, I charge the following cancellation fees: 0%, if you cancel up to 30 days before check-in 25%, if you cancel from the 29th to the 21st day before check-in 50%, if you cancel from the 20th to the 7th day before check-in 100%, if you cancel less than 7 days before check-in Full or partial refund in case of equivalent re-letting. CHF 40.00 processing fees are charged in every case. The cancellation must be made in writing. The withdrawal declaration takes effect on the day it reaches me. If the apartment is occupied late or vacated early, the full invoice amount remains owed. Please note the information on the booking confirmation.
8.2. Rebooking
Rebooking is possible. However, the provisions of clause 8.1 Cancellation Costs remain in effect.
8.3. Travel Cancellation Insurance
I recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.
9. Data Protection
Upon conclusion of the contract, in addition to the customer's contact details (name, address, e-mail, telephone number), stay-related information is generally also stored. The data is used exclusively for any subsequent reservations and the registration form for the police.
10. Complaints
In the event of complaints during the stay, the customer must notify me immediately. An amicable solution will certainly be found. If no suitable solution can be found, the place of jurisdiction is Steckborn.
11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Swiss law is exclusively applicable to the legal relationship between you and me. The place of jurisdiction is Steckborn.
